Many organizations today know the importance of growing your own food that wont only help the environment but also you.

• Surfblitz has gardens using sustainable techniques and revolves around volunteer work.​ They conserve the use of water, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides which also  reduces the amount of pollutants and water run offs and help restore and protect our waterways and ocean.

• Permablitz focuses on gardening and sustainable ways of living where you learn how to garden, share your thoughts and ideas about sustainable living, the community comes together and you learn from each other, and have fun.

• A'INA in schools focuses on plastic free in Hawaii, and the 3R's recycling program focus on schools in Oahu but there is enough resources for students and educators everywhere.

• Kokua Hawaii foundation staff work with A'INA teams at 15 Oahu elementary schools to implement the A'ina in schools and work on bring in education on environmental matters.

• Plastic free hawaii provides resources, tools and trainings to educate schools, business partners and communities about the benefits of environmental and health of Hawaii when we go plastic free to minimize the single use of plastic.
